A mondegreen is a misheard lyric.

Mondegreens are usually funny and sometimes appear to be improvements.
One example is in Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix when he sings,
"Excuse me while I kiss the sky."
Many people heard "Excuse me while I kiss this guy." -
Reread the Label
Sometimes you've heard a song hundreds of times, and then one day you hear something you've never heard before, or someone tells you something you missed.
